Wine Lineup & Tasting Recommendations

We will start with a couple of refreshing and unique White wines:

Curvos Loureiro Vinho Verde 2021 (Portugal) - This is a lightly spritzy wines that is easy to quaff.

Food suggestions:  Soft cheeses, sushi,  fish tacos, mango salsa, ceviche, California rolls, teriyaki bowls, or edamame salad

Bodegas La Cana 'Old Vine' Albarino 2021 (Spain) - A coastal white wine that is crisp and refreshing.

Food suggestion:  Seafood risotto, grilled (or fried) fish tacos, oysters, mussels, and clams, Soft cheeses like burrata, or semi-hard cheeses such as manchego, gouda and salty feta. The grassy notes of Albariño play well with fresh green herbs, like salsa verde. Try Spanish tapas such as grilled padrón (or shishito) peppers, grilled vegetable dishes, caprese, or even caesar salad.

We will then move on to a couple of very famous Red wines:

Lopez de Heredia Bosconia Reserva 2011 (Spain) - A classic old school wine from Rioja, the historical center of Spain's winegrowing.

Food suggestions:  Hard cheeses, roasted pork, lamb stew, Hungarian Ghoulash, vegetarian pizza with roasted veggies.

Bodegas El Nido 'Clio' Jumilla 2020 (Spain) - A very Modern wine that is big and fruit filled.

Food suggestions: Rice, pasta, (noodles, spaghetti, macaroni), vegetables, mushroom, stewed meat, sausage, pork, roast meat, red and/or white meat with sauces, grilled meat, short or medium cheeses.

We'll finish with a dessert wine

Graham's 10year Tawny Port 750ml (Portugal) - Grahams is one of the top producers of Port wine.  This is nutty with great complexity.  This is a dessert wine that is lovely on its own but will work well with less sweet deserts.

Food suggestions:  Great with assorted nuts, milk chocolate, dried fruits, or fruit tarts.
